Can we talk about todays F1 race result yet?!
« on: 16 March 2008, 13:34:53 »

Hope so.

I thought it was one of the best races for quite a while and bodes well for the rest of the year. Good result, overtaking, crashes and pit dramas.

What on earth do they make wheel tethers out of!! That is some technology.

Its nice to see the car being driven more by the drivers and not by computers.
I heard a commentator stating good drivers will benefit, but mistakes will be punished. I think its true.
It was a good race to watch. :y

Interesting race and good to see the cars twitching about without TC. I would say the lack of TC and braking assistance will favour the younger drivers that are relatively new to F1 as they are going to be more used to not having these aids. The more experienced drivers in F1 are used to having them and will have to learn how to drive "properly" again. ::) i think this was reflected in the result as 5 of the the top 6 finishers were all youngsters.

Great mature drive from young Lewis. :y I know he's in one of the top cars but his driving is superb - a bit like watching a certain young M Schumacher.

TBH Pete, I actually think Lewis would come out on top. The guy is cool as a cucumber and Schumacher isn't getting any younger. Would be an interesting race though. ;)

Agreed. :y You only have to look back at the likes of Senna, Prost, Mansell etc. All risk takers but all great drivers. :y

I do agree....but some risk takers do, and have caused massive accidents. only hope Lewis dont get too overconfident thinking he is untouchable........he is a good driver...we will see what this year brings.
