Need help with Immobiliser
« on: 01 March 2010, 18:30:06 »

My M reg omega 2.0 GLS has a factory fitted immobiliser

Im looking at buying a new alarm and central locking system (the central locking on it now is not good) the system im looking at also has remote engine start (press the key fob and engine starts from 1500 feet away)

the problem is ill need to disable the factory fitted immobiliser

Anyone know how easy this is and if it can be done?

any help would be greatfull

Just one question in one section normally suffices  :y
Tape the immobilser chip from the key to the steering column  ::)  ::) but why you would want remote start at the expence of a factory immobilser I don't know!  :-?  :-?  ;) :y

The immobiliser works with pressing the key fob not a chip

this system comes with alarm and immobiliser my central locking is rubish it wont unlock unless im stood right next to the car pushing the key up agenst the window

remote engine start comes with the system so why not fit it

I'm sure The Boy wil find details .... eventually.

Not really the brightest of ideas though to advertise how you disable an immobilser on an open forum  :-/  :-/

I need to go to bed in a minute, and what with everything else going on, struggling to get my brain working enough to find the info.

If anyone finds it before me, PM it to OP, rather than post publically :y
