IF you dont want to use vx and the whole car pass thing i have used www.dekodes.com think they charged me about £5 for the code last year and it was provided instantly.

There are forums that will give the info for free, but I do not think its right to discuss them here...

The carpass is handy, as you will get all the codes - radio, cd, key, immobilser etc...

Took the radio out the other day, code not written on radio but that would have been too much too ask :(

Put radio back in and it worked, no code required :) and cd changer still worked :)

Some radios are coded to display screen (so as long as still working with screen, all OK), some are coded in the old way. Those coded the old way, it is possible to disable the security...

I'm not sure which mine is but the it still worked.

i'll get one of carpass cards anyway, you never know when you may need some info. :)

don't let the dealer screw you - I've heard horrors of some wanting £25 + VAT for it. Thieving sods...

Ring round a few dealers.
