coolant level on display but coolant ok

hi the last post i had up was how to get ot a ccr2006 witch the face came of keys out of crapfords but to the point i brought my omega to a specailist friend for bit of an over hall replaced oil cooler water seals gear box sump gaskets fan belt pullys and water pump oil filters etc but is still reading coolant level not over heating temp good and shes running fine could it be water bottle sensor also  is it ok to keep heating on as rejuces temp and releaves heat of engine oh she a 3.0 v6 elite thanks

thats what it will be.
3.0l runs about 97 degrees. :y

Just replaced mine due to the same problem, a new expansion tank is around £34 as you can't buy the sensor on it's own.

Is that a dealer part or euro parts etc do them because vaux over here are a bunch of planks and most items have to be vor like they don't even suppy radio keys  ;D

BTW, before you shell out your hard earned for a complete new bottle& sensor, I would check that the sensor plug underneath the bottle hasn't come loose! Just pull off the metal sprung clip holding the bottle to the wing bracket, push the bottle in towards the engine by about 30mm to clear the locating rails & lift the bottle gently until you can see the plug & check if it's tight. If it is, you've just wasted 5 minutes, if it isn't, you've just saved £30+ quid! :y

thats what it will be.
3.0l runs about 97 degrees. :y
3.0 runs at 85 deg (facelift)

That price was from a Vauxhall dealer. Autovaux weren't any cheaper.
