Does it mean the cat is on its way out??
No warning lights on,,, although is does have a very slight misfire ...
Ploppy
doesnt show i missfire code, in the traditional sense anyway, and nothing in the list would suggest a running problem. Although thats not to say theres nothing wrong.
Tell us more about the missfire, is it when hot or cold? in a certain rev range? does it still pull ok?
Cat issue is normal on the drive by wire engines, and eventually the engine light should come on if the bulbs not been removed already.
It relates to "pre cat" efficiency low giving a reading out of tollerance raising the code. 2 exhaust sensors on each bank, 1 sensor before the precat measures exhaust gas, another after the pre cat measures the cleaned exhaust.
Code basickly means the exhaust isnt clean enough. But, the exhaust gas has yet to pass through the main catolitic converter which cleans exhaust no problem, so the fix is to move the second exhaust sensor to a position after the main cat, by welding a new boss to screw into, the sensor then sees legitimately clean gas and no more code issue. Simples, or it would be if i could weld.
