I would be interested in this too.

I know the 2 multirams are supposed to open at different throttle inputs/engine speed,  but how do you thoroughly test this - and if not working , where to from there?

Cheers,

Ian

Easy thing to check, the rear multi ram actuator should move around 1000 rpm, it is located under the four breather hoses on the back of the Plenum (the thing with ECOTEC on it)

The front actuator should move at around 4000 rpm, it is located at the front of the engine near the radiator

Hope this helps :y

I have noticed that my rear one moves momentarily if you give the throttle a sudden significant blip , but not if I open the throttle gently (although I haven't systematically tested around the 1000rpm level - not knowing that was significant).

I have just had a play with mine, the car that is, Ican get the front one to work at higher revs, but the rear one not moving at all, tried blipping it, opening throtle slowly, whacking it open and shut repeatedly, but to no avail....

Whats to check next?????

Thanks, Mark.  :y

How would I do this????

Also there is no heat in the cabin, gets just slightly warm, not blowing much either, could this be part of the problem, I only noticed this morning first time I have had to put the heater on.?

Thanks.  :) :y :)

Check the vac pipe layout, as per M_DTM's guide in Maintence Guides
