Fan on Constant

Can any one tell me is there a paperclip method i can use on the fans to keep them on constantly instead of auto till i get to a garage (Saturday) for the thermo and fan switch fitted. Going into red light comes on looks like i not only need the thermo doing but the fan switch as well. Need to use the car as work out of town 1 bus every 2 hrs

Hi
   at a last thing, you can run a live wire from the + of your battery, to the plus on your fan, but disconect the plus of your fan from the wire loom. :P
 are you sure your thermostat is not stuck?
  you would be better to your enging having it towed to the garage. does it loose any water?

I would remove the harness from the switch and complete the circuit just to make sure it is the switch that is faulty, there is more than one type of switch, did the fan work before :question

Hi you fan switch should be on the radiator, you can get one bit of wire with a crocerdile clip at each end and conet to both conections on the plug you take off the switch. if your fans do not work now, then some thing else is wrong.

If you switch on the air conditioning, you should have both front fans running at half speed all the time. I would have thought that would be enough to keep the temperature under control in this weather.

Failing that, as wheelchairkid says, the fan switch is under the top radiator hose on the pssenger side of the radiator. See if you can bridge a couple of the connections on this. You will need to remove them again when you park, though, because the fan will run constantly and drain the battery otherwise.

Drive with air con on and avoid traffic would be the easiest solution.
