Hi Colv and welcome. A 3.0 Elite has got to be more fun than a Fiesta.  ;)

That's true, I'm not sure how the initial acceleration will compare...
but you just can't get a tiny wheel base FWD Fiesta to go round a corner quite how a car *cough* should *cough* [smiley=laugh.gif]
lift-off oversteer is about as close as it gets in 'The Fiest' (affectionately named)

I drive buses all day everyday so i'm looking for the stress relief of absolute comfort and good old counter-steer fun after a, err, 'hard days graft' of driving sensibly lol

Welcome to the site :)

I'm guessing that the 2 cars won't compare on fuel economy either  :P

Not even close on fuel econonmy  :D lol, even under 'enthusiastic' driving  :y I'm still in the high 40's mpg, high 60's mpg when driving 'conservatively'  :o ( I often do, I must be growing up!)
and it's only £35 a year road tax
It's got a/c , leccy windows n power steering but it's not exactly luxurious.
But, it does leave almost anything behind from a standing start, the torque is excellent and it's a nice wee cheap thrill hehe

I used to have a mk2 Mondeo Ghia X, all the toys, leather etc etc
ST kit, lowered 55mm on Spax, 18" BK 399's and a de-cat no silencer custom full zorst system
(the real reason I don't want diesel, you can't get a nice note from them,  *Not a Boy Racer, Honest!!!!*  :P)

This thing had presence coming out of it's... well, u get the point, and it had been *cough*  fiddled with so it wasn't slow either

I'll put some pics up If I can fiind the file...

This is why I want an Elite, because they're big, comfy, filled with Toys and with the right touches, can be made to look stunning, and a 3.0 V6 ain't exactly gonna struggle up a hill

I really hope I won't be dissapointed with 'off the mark' pace from an Omega compared to The Fiest  :-/
