well worth the money all day long. well under priced!
That's not under priced at all.
By the time you've forked out for the ABS ECU, as well as the wishbones which are pretty much guaranteed to be shagged, you've paid exactly what the car is worth in the book.

Is it true though what this seller states that there is a company that will fix this unit for just £100? :-/ :-/ :-/

If he is prepared to drop to £750, then yes it's a good deal - but at the moment he still wants a grand for it as it is.

I'm always wary when advertisers say "it will only cost £100 to fix".....mainly because if it's so cheap to put right then why not do it and then sell the car for what it's really worth.

i bought an elite at christmas on an 03 for £950 cos the oil cooler was split, and the guy had no money at all. that sold for a mint once i had spent some time and money on it.   sometimes people just dont have time or money.    but yeah if its £100 he should fix it lol

Yes, snip. I have set my auction sniper at £511.99p

Recon Ecu allow £150.

Do handbrake as per guide on here. New shoes and some cleaner possibly cables £30 to £50

I'll let you all know how I get on.

can someone ask when the cambelt was changed?  need to factor that in too. :) :)

On 04-Jul-09 at 17:29:49 BST, seller added the following information:

TODAY THE SPEEDO STARTED WORKING AGAIN, AND WAS FLUCTUATING BETWEEN WORKING AND NOT WORKING, I THINK THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO A LOOSE CONNECTION SOMEWHERE AND NOT AN ABS ECU FAULT LIKE WAS FIRST PREDICTED,

AS SOON AS IT STARTED WORKING, THE CRUISE CONTROL WORKED FINE AND SPEEDO WAS FINE

Now that's all very well, but it's still the ABS module - mine did the same - and it didn't stay working for long, until I got a new module fitted.

Beware - there's three different ones (much like the dispacks) and you need the right one.

I'm off for a look on Monday if I get time, as it ticks all my boxes. ;)

I'm thinking about having a bid on this but wondering how many others are thinking the same.
