Just wondered

if anyone has seen some new cameras on A406 southbound from Ilford & A13 westbound in Newham, never seen these before & they face the driver as opposed to other cameras facing away. They look like 4 coke cans on a post. anyone know if they are speed cameras or not :-/

what are they situated by? are they near any junctions? traffic signals?

some just measure the flow of traffic, some can detect red light jumpers, some spot car tax, some might just be CCTV

its on a 3 lane stretch of A road, no traffic lights & no junctions. They have CCTV cameras covering the road & speed cameras all over the place

Could be average speed cameras, one for each lane. They've been using them on the M25 near the junction with the M11 during the long-term roadworks.
