Removed the blower motor on the Proper Car to investigate it not working. Cleaned and oiled the bearings and all good... But...

Discovered the sound deadening underneath the carpet was wet. Investigation found the scuttle under the batteryy to be full of leaves and mud. Cleaned out along with the also blocked drain tube.

Hopefully no more water in the cabin but have left the carpet up to properly air it out.

Hitched the caravan onto it after getting home late yesterday & took it back to the farm it won't be used again till May next year, was going to book parking at Stansted as we're back in Spain midweek but going by taxi now had enough driving the past few days, thinking about changing the RRS nothing wrong with it at all just getting bored with it, see what turns up.

Changed expansion tank to daughters Astra J, A16XER. Old one was leaking slightly between "Top and Bottom part" seam. I think there is a seam. It was difficult to find as allways when pressurizing the system with external pump the fluid level was below this seam. Now accidentally the level was above the seam  and I saw small drops falling down when pressurized to 20PSI.

Contemplating filling it with electricity again, as it hasn't done more than here to Gixer's and back in the last 3 weeks...

Drove mine to household waste full of a couple of smashed up wardrobes. It’s times like this that I miss my Omega Estate, with its more upright tailgate. My A6 Avant may be longer than my Omega but the sloping tailgate reduces the height and length that you can load to.  ::)

All estates seem to have sloping tailgates these days, even the Volvo V90.  :-\

How is an antique dealer supposed to get a wardrobe in one of those?  ???  ;D

I think that every self respecting antique dealer has had a Volvo estate at some point.  Mine was a deceased antique dealers car.  :)

Fitted new Land Rover badges to tailgate & front grille, after 17 years the originals were barely readable, looks a lot smarter now.👍

I fired my V70 up for the first time in about 6 weeks today, to take a load of hedge clippings to the tip and she started immediately.  :y

There were long delays on the main road getting there, so I slipped and slid my way home through the wet and muddy lanes, which was fun!  >:D

What could possibly go wrong >:D
