He's after a Skoda, as the 2.2 struggles to do 45mph in the middle lane...

Hope he gives it a good clean before selling it. ;D ;D ;D

New owner might want to perform surgical operations in the engine bay rather than just eat their dinner off the engine. ;)

2.5/2.6 is just as economical but way more powerful, 2.2 is a easy peasy to work on thanks to loads of space.

Yep and thats what worries me...I would not be able to care for it as much as Barry has and that is a big concern for me.....I would be hung drawn and qaurtered by the forum for letting it get dirty or fall into a bad state of repair...... :o :o Plus i may be jumping the gun here a bit as i aint got my hands on my inheritance cheque yet(makes me sound like a money grabber)....... :-X

2.2 is not bad, its not fast, but its no slouch. It will cruise at 80mph all day long just as well as the V6's

My 2.2 is almost silent at the 80 cruise, unlike many V6's i've driven which have a slight droan

Was going to say - no drone from my V6 until it's up to speeds unattainable by a 4 pot. ;)
