I've never the pleasure of meeting Mark, but when anybody has a problem they can't fix, Mark's always the one to do it ![Thumbs Up! :y](http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/thumbsup.gif)
I think you should claim compensation from whoever sold you the car

At least £3.56 and perhaps a chocolate bar to show good will.
Had it just been overtightened?
Are you free, or more to the point is your MV6 free sometime in the day this week? Do you want me to take it over to the paint guy? I need to go sometime this week anyway to check on my estate.
That is understatement of the century.
Some idiot had done a right number on it.
And the oil that came out of it, I wouldn't mind betting the oil was considerably older than the service history suggests

Precisely why I don't let 'mechanics' go near my cars.
The MV6 is in daily use this week, I'll have to get back to you on that one ![Cry :'(](http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/cry.gif)
I'd never let a VX dealer touch any Omega I own, I'd be too worried about what they'd do to it.
But as you say, SH doesn't always tell the full story.
No worries, whenever it's free we can get it sorted.
I can ask him for a ball park figure before he sees it to confirm price and what needs doing etc, but I can't remember what it was that needed doing? Rear arches, doors and was that it?
I've just won a 2003 '52' 2.6 Elite saloon in star silver on ebay, it's done 153k miles, my bid was £1070 but it didn't hit the reserve. I only bought it to take the leather for my black saloon. I may end up breaking it, not sure...but if I do you can have the doors. If you have a quick look through ebay completed listings you'll find it. It's got black wheels

which I hate with a passion.
