Working for a couple of days in Sheffield this week. Any recommendations for decent hotels in the area?

Stayed in the Novotel city centre a few years ago, cost £70 but the room was large and lovely and had free parking and use of pool etc

Thanks for the tips guys. Just looked at the Novotel as suggested ... looks good.Cost is irrelevant as it'll be going on the old company Amex card.  ;D

The ibis close to the train station isn't bad.

Or on the south side of the city is The Fox House;

Don't stay at The Rutland Arms on Brown St, whatever you do.. the walls are made of cardboard (I think, possibly, literally) - it's no fun unless you enjoy listening to drunking humping at 3am.  ;D

(Although it is just down the road from the Spearmint Rhino .. which, thinking back, could well have been closely related to the humping that was going on)
