Mine comes from my Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem days where the baddies were called goons to programmers. I was originally known as Goonboy but I am now older. On American forums I am Goonv8 (see if you can guess why) on here Goonv6 (Again obvious) and on the Fiat forum GoonJTD (Cos of the Multipla we had)

Used to be Methuselah on a game forum, 'cos I was the oldest one there by a long way.  Then I joined another forum, but there was already a Methuselah there.  I remembered that "Methuselah" was also a champagne bottle size, and opted for another of the same - hence "jereboam".  It's more commonly spelled as "Jeroboam", but I don't care.  I've stuck with the name through several forums now.  I've forgotten my real name... :)

Jeroboam was the first king of the Northern tribes of Israel.  And 4 bottles, before you ask. :)

and your accusing me of being boring  ;D ;D ;D

I'm allowed to be boring - I'm very old.  You are 26 - what's your excuse? :) :) :)

Anyway, I thought that stuff about champagne bottles and biblical kings was quite interesting. :(

mudflap - a word association with cars large and small, something often overlooked and unprepossessing, but does a very important job  8-)
