I'm glad someone else mentioned classical music.
Been a big fan since I was 13-when the old man (Dad) took me to de Monfort hall in Leicester a few times, saw (Sir) John Barbirolli and a few others.
I've been dying to ask, anyone tried listening to Bruckner?
I'm 64 now and Ive listened to just about everything but never Bruckner, till now.
Was he schizophrenic or something??

His Symphonies sound as if if he dropped all his music sheets and picked them up in the wrong order.
I'm still struggling to wrap my head around his Symphonies, but they sound as if my system keeps changing tracks.

Give No.5 a try and you'll see what I mean.

By the way I also 'dig' Led Zeppelin,Pink floyd,pearl jam,Lynard skynard,Hawkwind etc.

eddie

Try no. 4 - that's 'proper' music.

Never saw Barbirolli live, but he was a truly great man - never missed a televised or radio concert if I could help it.

A truly cultured person will not think of Mickey Mouse when listening to "The Sorcerers Apprentice"!  :D

...or The Lone Ranger on "William Tell Overture"  ;D

I think you will find the words 'Dumb Fu**er,Dumb Fu**er,Dumb Fu**er' will fit the very repetative beat, along with 'no,no,n-n-no,there's no lyrics' or my favourite 'techno, techno tech no notice' ;D
