Prefer the mini facelift,but am biased as have owned a couple.
Always thought the facelift was too European and sterile,pre-facelift is a bit more old  fashioned(like me) with bits of chrome,also has a bit more "road presence" with the shape being a bit more curved .
Each to their own though.
