Mine is used exclusively as an Extender for the Media Center, so I can watch and schedule recorded TV from bedroom :)

Ahh, do you mean playing dvd and stuff. And could you record to the hard drive like a PVR ?
There could be more to these things than I thought.

Thanks

Mike

No - I have a seperate computer doing the recording, that lives under telly in lounge.  I have no other video recorders, hard drive recorders, sky boxes etc in the house - this one PC does it all, and stores recordings on it 1Tb hard disk.

Anywhere where I may want to either record or watch a recording, I throw in an xbox. This streams the recording from the PC in the lounge
