A part of me wants to say tough shit for buying a Qasqai.  But, I guess for some, life is over, so why not - its that or a Jizz...

I wonder if Uncle STEMO has thought of a Nissan Qashqai?  Seems the ideal car for him!  :)
Yes, indeed :y Its on my list of possibilities. Despite the stories of the problems that occur, they have been near the top of the best sellers list for years.

In fairness my daughter-in-law has had 2 Qashqai's which have both served her well. She was happy with her first one, a 1.5dci, so when it was getting on a bit she replaced it with a 2020 petrol version.  :y

Thing is.....I could go out and buy a £40,000 car today if I feel like it. Could you?
So it's a choice, not a necessity  :)

Good for you :y

I couldn't and not would I want to. My works car park is full of shiny nearly new metal driven by twenty somethings who think they have something to prove. My £400 Bini and 19 year old Barge gets me to work just as well as a new 2 series or Tesla in the same way as your Astra serves you.

If the CashCow is on your list, have you considered the Dacia Duster? Surely must be largely the same underneath, but possibly better value due to lower starting price?

All our office primary work locations don't have parking any more.  self-abusers.

No, Jim, no. I'm not a badge snob, that's pretty obvious, but even I wouldn't have something built from Renault cast offs.  ;D

My astra must like the sunshine, it felt kind of.......fine.....today.  :-X

Well apparently it's being collected today or tomorrow to go to the original dealer.

From the way they have been, Nissan deserves to go bust.

Hopefully St Alban's haven't done anything to jeopardise the diagnosis into the fault.

We have a Duster at work that we use to drive around the site and staff use as a pool car.
Uncle Stemos dog would need a regular feed of seasick pills if it had to travel in one.
Ive never experienced such wallowy suspension and body roll other than a Citroen 2cv.
Also, the brakes are like an on/off switch. so overassisted that a gently push would put you through the screen if you werent wearing a seatbelt.
Pile of shite.

Apparently it has made it to the original garage and the initial verdict isn't good.
