The ad looks like they took a bunch of college students and gave them a grand to shoot a perfume advert for Christmas and design a logo for TKMaxx's new range of Goochee hand bags

One of my neighbours has a stunning Mk 2 3.8 Jaguar which his mother bought new in 1963 he inherited it when she passed away a few years back since then he has spent several thousand pounds on it, the most recent expenditure having the auto box completely re built in my eyes it's the perfect classic.I have a picture somewhere hopefully to follow.

Beautiful! I'm not a fan of the white walls, but that is absolute nit picking  Also, getting geeky, I prefer the more delicate bumpers on the later 240/340 cars (the one that Morse actually drove I think  ) but then you lose the gorgeous 3.8 straight six, wire wheels and you get a less upmarket interior - decisions decisions  .

That one's also got an aftermarket webasto roof - not a common mod!

Gorgeous thing! I've lusted after one to accompany my dad's e-type. Not managed to get there yet however!

Yes it is a 1963 originally bought new by his mother,last year all new leather was fitted exactly to original spec & as I said previously the auto box was rebuilt earlier this year by a specialist in Suffolk, he has an agreed valuation on it for £38,000 but is limited to 2000 miles per year , SWMBOS  old faithful Subaru can be seen in the background, it now resides in Devon with her cousin.🚗🚗🚗

The E Type & the MK2 are the only "proper" Jags in my opinion but that's probably an age thing , my father had a very early 2.4 Jaguar when I was about 11 in black with red leather , a beautiful car the first car I ever travelled in at 100 mph.

I believe that it originally started out as a 2.4 Jaguar which seemed very underpowered to his mother & a new 3.8 engine took its place around 1968/9, I never met her but she sounds like a real petrolhead also had a couple of mini coopers which are awaiting restoration.

My Dad had a MK2 Jag back in the day when he first met my Mum and he wouldn't let her drive it. 

She was miffed about that to her dying day!
