If I have a couple of hours spare on a nice sunny afternoon, I often visit our local breakers to have a rummage, coming away with the common parts that seem to fail on Omegas, such as rear diff mounts (if accessible), headlight leveller sensors, driver / pass door latches with central locking motors, vented rear brake pins and antirattle springs (if in good order) and basically the small parts that over the years I have found to fail to be NLA. Last visit amongst other 'gems', I found a good interior fusebox lid retaining strap which are more often than not broken
A few weeks ago there were 4 Omegas, unfortunately only CD spec, but for little money I came away with a good number of good usable spares that are hard to find. You have it to do when many are no longer available new....
But this also relies on them allowing you to remove the parts yourself, as some won't let you in the yard anywhere near them
My local yard doesn't even ask me now what I'm after, as he knows its Omega parts and just waves me in and let's me have a free reign..
Happy days..!
