Try sitting at the traffic lights in the city centre of Saigon, in the middle of a swarm of mopeds where everyone is closely watching the countdown!  :o  ;D

Welcome back Lizzie.

Is there a link to this or is it social media or maybe flashing orange to turn if no traffic?

I like the idea they use in Spain/Portugal where they turn traffic lights to flashing amber outside of rush hour then everyone just uses the road as normal, no sitting at traffic lights for 4 mins while no cars pass through. Noticed in spain the green crossing man lights up into a walk mode, and then near the end the wee green man starts jogging, quite right bloody peds lol get out the way!

Only seen one set of lights driving around Gran Canaria yesterday, and that was in Las Palmas. ;D

That said, some of the driving was pretty horrific :o

Cant see how it will make a differance with having an extra colour on the lights. So many retards around nowdays who just ignore them anyway
If any political party wanted to make a serious contribution to road safety, EVERY set of lights would have a camera mounted on them
Grifter, they do the same thing in Turkey with the flashing amber. They also used to have the count downs when red and also when green

A cynic might suggest that they're linked to average speed cameras... >:D

Yes, around these parts there are all too many 'red jumpers' , one of which almost collided with me a few months ago ::) ::) >:(

However, I do like the American system of being able to turn right against a red light, unless there is a sign instructing you that you cannot.  It certernaly keeps the traffic flowing. ;)  But of course in the USA roads are so much bigger generally than ours so you have far more space to drive in. :)

You only need to go as far as French France to be able to turn right on a red  ;) ;)

That’s interesting Andy.  When I last drove in France in the late 1990’s I did not find a single traffic light junction with that facility………..or is it that the French drive through red lights anyway?! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

It's been about 10 yrs since we've been to France. I couldn't tell you where I saw them, but I came across a few sets of lights where you could turn right on a red.  :y Or maybe I just follwed others through the red light  ;D Google suggests that you can not turn right on a red in France  ::)

you're confusing French with Cyclists .....  ;) ;)

Surely if we're to have a fourth light it needs to be rainbow coloured to show how inclusive we all are ::)

It would have to be white.

Aside from immediately being racist, any other colour is a combination of the other three and therefore utterly useless.
