Another flat tyre warning.

After I'd proudly announced to everyone that I'd only had 2 flat tyres this year, after an awful 2023 for wheels and tyres.

FFS.
Mrs got a flat a couple of weeks ago. It was such a faff putting the space saver on, taking the full size to the tyre place to get a repair and then bringing it back and changing it again, that I bought a brand new alloy wheel (got a cracking, half price deal at vauxhall-accessories) and put a new tyre on it. Her grandland will take a full size in the wheel well if you put the floor to its highest level.

You watch, over £300 spent and she will never get a puncture again.
.

Yes but it's peace of mind, the Yaris came with a can of gunk & no spare wheel  but I opted to have the whole kit supplied when we picked it up that  was around the £300 mark also.

My new Sabatier Chopping knife I had for Christmas (one with a flat blade like the telly chefs use) that makes an easy job of cutting up stuff, sharp as a razor. Just gently touched the edge chopping onion and sliced my finger!! Nothing bad and its sealed up already , think I need chainmail gloves next!

Manufactures should supply a full size spare wheel and tyre by law as part of the car.

This used to be so. :-X

Ah....but the EU says carrying that big, heavy spare around will burn fuel, thus contributing to climate change. Having a bottle of glue instead saves two x 5 millilitre spoons of fuel per decade  ;D

Having said that, the new 18" alloy wheel and spare tyre did weigh a flickin ton  ;D
They don't look that big on your car, but in the kitchen, leaning against a chest freezer, it looks huge  :o

The dickheads trying to drive the wrong way around Waitrose car park whilst wondering why nothing was able to move >:(

Anyone would think the shops had been closed since 2003.

The amount of morons driving along the Ai4 near BSE with no lights, or only DRL's at the front, in foggy conditions.

But the lights are automatic, they switch themselves on. I don't have to think about things like that. Or much at all, really.  ::)

It always amazes me the number of people that drive first thing in the morning on just DRLs .... when I've pulled up alongside them & suggested they should/could turn their lights on, I've just been met by a blank look!  ??? ???
My ML's light switch doesn't even have an 'OFF' position.
