A jogger flying through your windscreen will also damage your roofline, which is not such an easy fix.   ::)
Being in Oxfordshire, I'm sure your county council will just make all limits 10mph* on the roads they don't ban cars on, so as to protect your roofline.

*Speed limits, like all other rules, obviously non-applicable to cyclists.

Yes my sister had a nice BL mini and some fat kid ran out from behind a bus and bounced of the roof, I fitted a new header rail and pulled out the roof with a G shaped air body hammer.

Talking of kids running out from behind buses!  :o

Bloody schoolkids flying around the Guineas multi storey car park in Newmarket on E scooters. Hopefully, one of them will get bowled over and it might slow the rest of the little sods down a bit.
Just to add that i don't have fond memories of that place. It's where i finally murdered my Desmond.

I watched that a few years back and it is an impressive stop.  :y  To my knowledge they’ve never really confirmed whether the Volvo AEBS kicked in at all or if it was just incredible driver reaction with no assistance.
Incidentally, I’m told that a lot of truck drivers turn AEBS off at start up because it can be bloody dangerous. On sunny days, the AEBS sees the shadow of a road sign, bridge, gantry etc. as an object and slams on the brakes.  :o  A family member works for DAF trucks and they are aware of this issue.
My various BMW’s had the same/similar system and it’s frightening. Just wait until it happens to Opti in his beemer. If he thinks that lane departure is dangerous, just wait until he experiences auto collision detection.   ;D

Exactly.  :y  As the condition of our roads deteriorate to infuriating levels, instead of the highways people sorting them out they just lower the speed limit.   ::)

Ebay sellers.

An item that was supposed to arrive last Monday has allegedly been returned to them as the packaging was damaged, and they can't resend the item as its damaged (that I would be surprised, unless submerged in petrol and set fire to).  They are unable to provide any tracking numbers from their courier.

I suppose its a slightly less common excuse than having to be rushed to hospital.

I ordered a loom from someone who claimed to have sent it but the tracking number only worked once. About ten days later I had a slip from the postie about an underpaid item. £1.50 later, said item arrived. Meantime I had already received a full refund via eBay.

A bit of a hollow victory as a replacement purchase for a glove box that FedEx managed to misplace also included said loom.

And put up a sign saying "Uneven surface" as if it was designed to be that way!

I see on internet somewhere that a sign had been put up, by persons unknown, at the start of a bad stretch of road. Sign read, "welcome to your off road driving experiance"

That useless mongrel Sir Ian Callum, upon discovering to remove the rear head restraints on a X351 XJ, you have to remove the rear seats.

I need some of that shit he was smoking when he thought that was a good idea.
