I should be pissed off with Evri, but what they have managed to do is so ridiculous that I can only laugh at the stupidity of it.
My steering wheel came from Latvia. Package had my name and address clearly attached to it along with the sender attached Evri label, also with my name and address. No complaints as it arrived in three days and not the suggested three weeks.
However, they delivered another package with it... Clearly addressed to a company near Frankfurt, but the same Evri label as my package including bar code, consignment number and my name and address.
Whilst the sender clearly screwed up and printed my label twice, at no point in the Evri system did anything think to mention/notice that a parcel clearly addressed to Germany was out of place arriving in the UK. Right down to the person delivering it.
Had I accepted the parcel, it would have gone back with the driver, but Mum didn't notice it either.
Took it down to the local shop for local people, aka the Evri collection point. Can't accept that because the barcode says no. I get that the system is retarded by surely the driver can return it to the depot for them to redirect using the sender's account? Nope, they won't accept it because it's not in the system.
Obviously I emailed the sender on Friday asking them to send me the correct label in order to be sent on to Germany, but nothing yet
My options are to wait for someone to realise or to take it to the depot in Crawley and get them to redirect it in the system and provide a new label.
Hardly rocket science, but really...
