Buzzing from passenger door.
« on: 24 November 2020, 17:13:25 »

Hello everybody the cars doing good, suspension and wishbones sorted but now ive got a buzzing sound coming from the passenger door card. When the heating fan is turned above 3 bars this buzzing sound kicks in from inside the door card.Is it the door solenoid. When locking the car with the key that door locks and unlocks but when locking with the door pin it locks but on unlocking it does not trigger the other doors.Any ideas would be greatful, Many thanks Gavin. :y

The buzzing could be a leaf or two in the fan/vents... There's nothing in the door that would buzz more if the fan is turned up :-\

^ This. And my passenger door pin doesn't trigger any other door - only the drivers side, when I don't want the alarm to set.

That's by design. Only the drivers door knob locks/unlocks all the doors. The knob on any other door only locks/unlocks the door it's fitted to.

The fan is in the nearside footwell. Perhaps the fan is making the buzz.

I would check the door seals, when you turn up the fan you increase the air pressure inside of the car, that air would normally go out through the vent exhaust in the rear of the car. But if the door seal isn't tight enough air will leak out that way and probably create that sound. On one of my Omegas the window fram on one of the rear doors was slightly bent outwards and road noise was heard through that gap I had in the seal. I could bend the window fram back so it fitted as it should and noise was gone.
