Couple of fresh pictures:

She runs and drives fine, I put new winter Hankook tyres, they are suprisingly quiet, but i noticed an oil leak somewhere between engine and gearbox. I suspect on turbo. Here in Serbia situation with qualified mechanics is terrible. Next on schedule is to return her to painter to fix some of he's messes, and than to find someone to deal with f**k ups of my ex mechanic...  :-\

Oil leak finally detected:

While changing the seal I'll also rebuild a clutch plate.

I'we done some work. Omega got new windscreen with rain sensor, I changed rear brake and handbrake pads with oil change and system flush.
She has been M.O.T.-ed for another year.
I still need to do regular oil and filter change, and she is ready for road trip to Adriatic coast..

We cowered 800km for winter holidays. I had some cold start issues, it turned out that 4 of 6 glow plugs where dead.
Average trip consumption was around 7L/100km. 80% was motorway at 130kph and rest was on mountain roads with this extremely aerodynamic roof rack borrowed from my late grandfather's Yugo 45 and this 220cm long box..

Must admit despite all the playing about with MV6's, ExPlods and Specials over the years, I still miss my 2.5TD Manual Estate, it was a proper Work Horse, its a real shame we never got the Euro 24V version in the UK I would have definitely been up for that.

I'm down to 3 now,      ..... I think,  some of the ones where I don't remember where I parked them, have now ceased to exist, probably now belong to the DVLA, Local Council or Essex Police , I trust they would have put them to good use. :-X

The 3 I have will very soon become 1,  :( the last one I'm clinging onto for dear life is the 3.2 Manual Special ExPee Saloon with LPG (ex Thames Valley, the Silver Sisters Car to Josh's old Black one).

Edit, you've just nudged my memory now, Twiglett from here bought my 2.5TD Estate, for the Veggie Oil thing, then after running it around similar to a Fish and Chip Shop, scrapped it to, sorry, meant to say, Sold it as a Runner, to PaulK in Dartford.   ;D

It's all start to come back to me suddenly, think I might give the DVLA a ring in the morning, and ask, Where's my bloody ...........

This is my 12th Omega too (but I newer had more than two at the same time  ;D )
I had all the petrol ones ( except V8 unicorn ) This 2.5 common rail with manual gearbox is the best option all things considered (fuel consumption, performance, reliability...) My idea was to tune this M57 a little bitb closer to BMW e60 version, and maybe convert this 5 speed to 6 speed..

Old lady passed MOT with no surprises.
I recently changed oil separator filter and cabin AC filter, oil and oil filter is next to come.
I gave her to my father, I'll keep maintaining her and probably use her for long distance travels
Funny moment was at the MOT center, two new Mercedeses, nice 530D and Korean electric SUV, and Omega got the most attention from MOT people. One of them said he didn't see one for years, especially in good condition  :)
Now I am considering rescuing this one

2.5 TDS (M51) auto. alledged 135 000km on the clock. I'm waiting for detailed rust pictures, owner claims there isn't any  :D
There are two faults, crank sensor and problem with gearbox, which sometimes don't start in D, just in 2, with no faults reported. I'm open to suggestions where to start, I'm not sure but it should be 4 speed AR25 unit..
