Chinese Hospital
« on: 03 February 2020, 13:29:57 »

Well, they did it! :D :D :y

China have completed, within 8 days, the construction of a 1,000 bed hospital 8) 8)

Apparently 7,500 worked day and night to build it.

Perhaps this crew should be brought to the UK to give Boris of constructing all the hospitals he has promised!! ;D ;D ;)

Just shows what you can do in a non-democratic state ::) ::)

The last one they built in a rush, for the SARS problem in 2003, they "abandonded" shortly after and it has never been used again ..... but is now being "rebuilt" to "upgrade" facilities ... I wonder why ....  :)

not 10 days?   :-\

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-asia-china-51348297/coronavirus10-days-of-hospital-building-in-60-seconds

The BBC News at lunchtime stated "8 days".

But 8 or 10, that is still a great achievement :D ;)

Eight days...... :y

In the UK we would need 10 years to get planning permission, and another ten years for a gaggle of hairy-arsed builders to finish their tea break and pick up a spade.  :)

Don't forget the 5 years of risk assessment in between.  ;)

Yep, and get killed in the many Chinese buildings that have collapsed over the years due to bad workmanship / politics ::) ::)

and the quiet but expensive 'letting go' of at least three inept and larcenous senior managers, leaving a huge hole in the finances and adding another year to the completion date......
