Rug Doctor
« on: 09 February 2017, 14:30:39 »

No this isn't a thread about STEMOs porn pseudonym.

Has anyone used this on their car seats and / or carpets? My motor needs some TLC. The drivers seat looks like absolute shite. I feel normal cleaners won't it as it's a couple of years of grime  :-[

You could probably get a complete replacement seat for less than £25  :P

I doubt you'll be able to use that type of machine on a seat, down to practicallities.

Better of hand cleaning it IMHO.

Bit far to come on a single trip but if you're ever up north drop us a line - MrsGK is genuinely a concours winning interior specialist!

I bought a VAX carpet washer years ago when we had dogs. As well as the main unit there is a hand held cleaning head on the end of a vacuum hose for cleaning corners and furniture.

The hand held head is good for cleaning car interiors but I found I got better/quicker results using a bowl of carpet shampoo & hot water with a scrubbing brush to apply it and a builders wet & dry vacuum cleaner to vac out the dirty water before it soaked in too far.

£25.00 was a complete valet  including body wash & polish, Eastern Europeans work for peanuts round here.

I've hired one, worked really well with the hand attachment. I went halves with someone for a weekend and did all house carpets and 4 cars. It's disgusting seeing the amount of muck that comes out of the seats
