i like fords full stop. easy to work on and maintain and theyve got some handsome cars. the mundane-o! awesome looking.

True Chris. but wouldnt that mainly be down to the big engine in the omega not really breaking a sweat....as opposed to the smaller 1.6-1.8's seen getting a thrashing?
My Dads old 2.0 mk 1 Mondeo was worn out by the time he handed it down to me. 95k on the clock, engine mounts, clutch, gear box, gear linkage, exhaust mount, interior all buggered. Sold it 5k later.
Although to be fair it drove straight. Good chassis and handling. Brakes where wicked, although couldn't take prolonged abuse, but what stock set up does...?
I see why people like them, tbh. But longevity.... Nah.
