Bit of a breeze here, and the temp has dropped from 4C to 1C in the past 45mins.

But not what I'd call cold, or even windy  :-\

anyone know what newcastle will be like tomorrow.....will i need my shovel and sleeping bag lol.....driving up there from leeds in morning

The North East is getting a good dusting as I type, and it's forecast for at least 5cm over the Region tonight :-\
 The way it's coming down here in Hartlepuddle and laying very well, I would imagine the weather man could be erring on the light side ??? I don't think the actual snowfall will give you any probs, but be vigilant of the brain dead & homicidal maniacs among the general populous! Have a safe journey  :y

Blowing a gale and feels very cold round here
Little bit of snow fall about an hour ago "dusted" the ground but not the roads

You should be OK on the Motorway, a little bit of a covering at the moment, cars should soon clear any snow; been well gritted.............. :y

Reminds me of  couple of years ago when it was -7 in the middle of the day after we got a few days of snow.
I can remember driving  out onto the main road & got about half a mile  & that was it really; joined the queue goin nowhere for about 20 mins &  thought where are all these ppl coming from  ??? all walkin back past me. Then it slowly dawned on me ::) they had abandoned their cars & where legging it >:(  Asked some blokes WTF & "Yer don`t go any further mate, It`s blocked all the way up to the mway" A slow speed crash had knackered it for everybody. 3 or 4 inches of snow thats all it took.
