Ps, forgot to mention....

Obviously only knowing a couple of faces at the start I was keeping a keen eye on everyone in The Crown. I collared a tall skinny lad who I thought was Tunnie.

Me: Alright mate, how are ya?
Him: Alright mate.
Me: Did you do your wishbones?
Him: Ha ha...with quizzical look.

End of conversation  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yup, sounds like Tunnie. :o ;D ;D ;D

'cept said Tunnie didn't make it ... :)  ... so Webby was talking to someone who didn't have a scooby about the question ....  :)

many thanks to all last night for making it an excellent evening  :y :y :y well worth the trip :)

Not heard any news stories of a flat milt float, so assume Guffers found some electricty....   ....or drove home at 50mph ;D

We made it home safe after a quick 30 min juice-up which happily coincided with a toilet break.  The residents of Wheatly may have had a few brown-outs though while I was happily sat on my throne ;D

Thanks to everyone who played a part in organising it, myself and Mrs G thoroughly enjoyed it.  Hopefully now that she has seen that we are nice normal people she will hopefully come along to other meets where the ladies can take part :y

How was breakfast?

Very nice .. help yourself to cereals/fruit juice; full English fry up ( bacon, sausage, hashbrown, beans, blackpudding, tomato, mushrooms, fried egg); toast, unlimited coffee - which was surprisingly drinkable as usually it's been sat on the heater for so long it's tasteless - so pretty good all round.

Only complaint of the hotel is "noisy Brackley" !!! cars/people talking shouting/ clock chiming .... don't they do "peace and quiet" ??? - didn't bother me ( rule is head/pillow/sleep) but Mrs E was kept awake a fair bit (apparently)  .. :)

Entwood, given the review from Timbuk and BoBo, who stayed there at the Brackley Cambelt do several years ago, I think we need a full review of The Crown Hotel in Brackley.

I did notice one of the bar staff sporting a bloody fantastic black eye ;D. Welcome to Brakkers ;D

It was quite quiet when I boarded at MCS the other side of the square. Mind you that was 60 years ago, and we did occasionally hear a noisy horse and cart. ;D ;D ;D

I was sorry not to make it last night, I used to stay at the Crown for O.B's day in the past. Unfortunately we were out to another dinner last evening, but glad that the evening went well.

Happy Christmas to all at OOF (again). :y
