I agree TB & Tunnie!
The SC was a great car, but it managed on average 19mpg and having the 400bhp made it easy to overtake most things. Whereas the TD6, it simply can't do that...and you can drive far more sedately. I thought Jaime was having a heart attack, he was driving that slowly  ::)
The SC, with tinted windows does look a bit drug dealer...this was the one you'd driven;

It must be said though TB, this is the ideal vehicle for you;
76bhp and the best part of 2.8 tonnes.
I always enjoyed driving this, it was painfully slow but you can't beat an armoured van  :o

I loved my old works tranny, that went everywhere overladen at 2.9t, it had real road presence, was great fun, and was good for a ton.

Mrs TB hated it though, always thought it would tip over...  ...a mate did get his over one day when we were arsing about

I've just been given a new 85bhp Transit for work instead of the VW Transporter and I hate the Transit, it wouldn't pull a greased stick out of a dogs bum and I can't get the seat comfy but the interior is better laid out though

Really good night tonight, guys. Thanks for this TB. Very nice to put faces to names and meet you guys.

Ps, very good curry too... although I managed to avoid the lime pickle. Hopefully another night soon to continue the discussion ;)

Merry Christmas

Thanks to all who made the trek to deepest Brakkers, it was really fantastic to see so many friends again :y

I didn't think I'd had much to drink, but I was in a bit of a mucking fuddle by the end, and my head is telling me that I did a bout with Tyson.

I hope those who travelled home last night had a safe, uneventful journey. Not heard any news stories of a flat milt float, so assume Guffers found some electricty....   ....or drove home at 50mph ;D

Ps, forgot to mention....

Obviously only knowing a couple of faces at the start I was keeping a keen eye on everyone in The Crown. I collared a tall skinny lad who I thought was Tunnie.

Me: Alright mate, how are ya?
Him: Alright mate.
Me: Did you do your wishbones?
Him: Ha ha...with quizzical look.

End of conversation  ;D ;D ;D ;D
