Bose Replacemert
« on: 06 August 2013, 17:17:45 »

well I cant seem to find a new bose radio and I Know it can not be replaced with a standard unit.

If I wanted to fit a standard radio and speakers would I be able to  use the original speaker wiring (to save time) by joing them where they used to come in and out of the amp

Yep, nothing wrong with the wiring as long as you trace it through correctly. By the way what Bose HU are you after?

i would like to know if a modern bose din e or double din radio would be compatable with the bose set up in the omega, or have they changed the outputs to a more std config. ie 4 ohm speakers instead of 2 ohm and amps. just curious as my dads elite 3.2  is having trouble with his 2013 hu again. it wont eject the cd cartridge and is getting a bit peeved.

BOSE only make OEM radios, so although it may appear as if there are a few other makes to choose from, most of the Honda/Nissan/Mazda/Audi BOSE units are also dedicated solutions to the cars that they are in and will have outputs to suit the specific vehicle.

They really did a job on this, and really have restricted you to Vx compatable units only  :'(
