stopped at the lights and car was ticking over poorly.. it was running on 3 cylinders and on came the car/spanner light.

got home and had a look at what codes it had stored   p0303  cylinder 3 misfire detected

i take it that it might as well say  get your ass down to vx for a new dis pack...

Check plugs first, see whats what.

When they do fail, it is usually on pot 3 or 4 from my experience. Mine failed at 105k, father T's at 120k

Check for oil/water in plug wells, and the state of the plugs.

Whilst coil pack is out, see if there are signs of breaking down (cracks, normally with rust marks, or arcing marks).

I use Bosch coil packs, bit cheaper, for my V6, but no idea whats available for those without a proper engine

I've never owned a 4 pot Omega. UnLucky enough to have driven no end though. The 2.2DTi is the best of the small engines IMHO.

But the petrol 4 pots plod along nicely if you're Miss Daisy, and not too uneconomically.

Couldn't be arsed to disconnect propshaft, thus that limits a tow to 50mph max.

There was an element of, knowing how bad your suspension is/was, I could easily turn you the other way as well

there you go the boy just been out there dis pack off plugs out back in and torqued up dis pack back on 25min

bet you cannot do that with your trolley

plugs all good as expected [bosch] ones with 4 thingys on the end
no oil in the holes didnt expect none cos done new gasket
two of the rubber boots were split...

cars done 53000 .so looks like gotto blame dis pack
