Tapatalk is compatible, but I'm against it.

SMF works well enough with most Smartphones.

What does this mean lol

if its compatable are there complications to doing it or do u just not like it
SMF is the forum software we use.

Technically its compatible with SMF. To an extent. We have made certain modifications, which repackagers like tapatalk might cough on.  That aside, even if we did want to test all mods against tapatalk (I'm not doing that, I've already got far too much on my OOF to-do list, and no time to do them), there is the additional overhead of the serverside components - both in learning/support, and in server resources.

We are often making quick-and-dirty code changes to work around things. Instead of just testing against IE8/9 and the latest FF (I don't test against Chrome, as I refuse to have that buggy piece of malware on my PC), we then have to start testing against various tapatalk enabled devices.

Lastly, I'm uncomfortable with members paying for access. It goes against everything OOF stands for. And lets say we did install the tapatalk serverside components, loads of members bought the app purely for OOF, and then we had to remove the serverside components for any reason...

Yes noticed that on GS forum, all modern mobile browsers cope really well with the forum. I do have occasional image problems, but thats it
