will a swan neck detachable towbar, pre facelift. fit onto a facelift..and does any bumper/under panel need cutting

Yes, probably. ;)

You might find the hitch is a little short as the bumper protrudes a little further on the facelift, but it shouldn't be enough to hamper hitching-up.

A bit of the underside of the bumper will probably need to be cut to clear the lock mechanism and electrics, but none of it is visible unless you're lying under the car.

just a thought on this,depends what hes towing, if it got the alco anti snake hitch on they longer so would hit the bumper

Put an ALKO on that and it'll be drifting round the corners, so I think you'll be OK. :y

Thinking about it, I had a Westfalia one from a PFL on my facelift and it was fine.

pretty much yes, & the electrics that may or may not have the plug on them. ;)

I think that bar must've been all things to all men Omegas, because the ball is miles away from my PRL bumper compared with the Bosal (OE type) swan neck I originally fitted to my car ...........  :y :y

Loads of info on the net & the forum if you search for it.  ;)
you don't need an extra relay for the bulb check etc, but there is one that you can use if you want to extend the brake light check to your trailer/caravan.  :y :y

no forget relay then just need it for quick tip runs...found nothing on here about electrics
