Yes it's getting bad now - the majority the rooks (a fair few) in the trees opposite have sloped off and there's so much draw in the wood burner it’s like the fire-box in one of Lizzie Zoom's steam trains going at full pelt. :o

I should really drive down to hamble and see if Ive still got the canopy/cover on my boat, its been replaced 3 times due to wind and the insurance wont cover it  >:(    Next door are having lots of extensions and new roofs, i think the builders spend half the day re-doing the previous days work!

Despite fearing a bloody awful drive over to Harlow this morning the roads were dry, clear and there was very little wind by the time I left, hurrah!

Still nearly ended up with a car up my chuff though as the traffic slowed before Bell Common tunnel - slowed down to a stop, heard the screeching and looked in the rear view mirror to see a cloud of tyre smoke approaching. I began the mantra .. "Please stop before you get to me, please stop before you get to me, please stop before you.."

Not sure if the smell that followed was burnt rubber, or the smell of his freshly evacuated bowels..

Getting stronger and stronger up here, should be interesting in the morning as it is recycling day, so boxes of cardboard, bottles and plastic as well as bins all out at the bottom of our drives, after the strike two weeks ago we need them emptied... ::) ::)
