hi
OK have been running now with the chip and here are the results:
1) fuel consumption - appears unchanged. but car is still being driven hard with a big grin! Maybe i'll give it Captain Soow for a tank full soon.  :P
2) smoothness - very good, much more driveable BUT it does stutter at constant 1500RPM in any gear.  :(
3) power and torque - much much improved and 1st gear now works  8-)
The stutter is a real pain and I am still waiting for help from the chip supplier. However, even with the stutter the chip is well worth the money and the car has truely come alive.  :D
Let me know if you want to know more.

Some cars do suffer with the stutter at 1500 more than others,
its beleived to be right where the turbo is just coming up to ful boost, not helped by supermarket fuel?
aggressive chip is very very good but!!!! rathe(extremely)r smokey when booting it!!!
to help ease the stutter try diesel magic in the fuel filter, and use shell v [power diesel or bp ultimate for a coule of tankfuls

have replaced rear diff oil and gearbox oil and run injector cleaner and still no difference. Stutters like a biatch at 1500rpm. not sure what else to try other than changing the chip for another. the chip supplier hasn't been much help sadly but still worth the money! Wouldn't go back to standard now.

HI All
Great news!!! I have re-re-chipped my car and now all is well. Power is even better and the stutter is gone completely. It's like driving a 4wheel two stroke crosser bike complete with power band!  :D
Even better the chip was half the price of the previous one!  8-)
Fuel economy is unknown as yet but looking ok.
