Electric Windows on auto pilot
« on: 12 November 2009, 08:29:38 »

Hi, I recently got given a 1997 2.5 TD Vauxhaull Omega. I was aware of a few problems, the battery is pretty much dead and needs replacing but my main issue is that the electric windows had a life of their own apparently and are now permenantly down, all four of them!!! This is not good with winter coming on. I know very basic amounts about the car but any suggestions on where to start with putting the windows up again? As far as I'm aware they worked occasionally and then just packed up all together, sounds more like a dodggy connection than anything else but really need help!!  :-?

Maybe the windows need resetting due to the low / flat battery ?

Do the windows actually move up and down with the switches?
