Just double check every connection and check it all again before you reconnect the battery :y

read about it but never fitted one, as i understand it, it simply ties in to glow plug relay signal wire? thus energiseing glowplugs even on hot start? so extra fuel chucked in by ecu, allowing easier hot start? funny enough i have to fit one soon i think, would be interested in how you get on, and if it cures the hotstart prob,
although the one i have to do isnt bad at all really, around 4 or 5 secs cranking on hot start, so its very liveable with!!!

Hi,
Have you installed yet.
Got one of these (hot start fixes) some time ago,got the fitting instructions yesterday from http://www.tawpark4x4.com/instructions/bmw_hotfix.htm
These instructions are for range rover installation, the main difference is that my omega does not have the bundle of black earth wires.found the red/white wire ok,the grey/blue wire, looks grey/blue to me wife thinks its blue, sons not sure.
Mailed tawpark and asked if i can use the battery negative terminal as earth.

When you've fitted it start car when cold as normal.
When warm or hot you'll notice the glowplug light come on the dash, wait a good 5 seconds after it goes out and start car, hey presto, should be ok.  :y
