y32se engine
« on: 01 April 2008, 10:18:32 »

Hi
I am new to this forum and I dont actually own an omega but I am a Vauxhall fan, I have 2 Vauxhall firenza's, I have just bought a 2002 omega y32se engine to fit into one of the firenza's which I have mated to a getrag manual 5sp dt gearbox, but to get the engine far enough back in the car I need to do something about the sump, it has the bulk at the front of the engine, so I am looking at dry sumping this engine, has any one had any experience of doing this, is there a dry sump pan available for this engine? or has any one fabricated their own? I am thinking of leaving the standard oil pump in exit the the pickup pipe through the new sump and fitting a two stage scavaging pump and oil tank, any help with this would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Alan

Sounds like an interesting project! Good luck.

Can't really help with the dry sump, I'm afraid.  :-/
