badges are just badges, not much to worry about, does it have elite toys??

i dont know what toys the earlier elites had compared to the CDX

mine on the outside looks like an elite, i put elite alloys and spoiler on mine, but its just a GLS

Elite will have leather interior with electric 3 position memory seats, auto dimming rear view mirror etc.

CDX did not have any of the above.

Oh and 2.5 Elite was not produced until 1997.

I agree that it's probably a CDX (as badges mean diddly-squat), but my '94 2.5 CDX Estate had all the available options installed including auto dim rear mirror, memory seats, full leather, heated rear seats, sunroof, cruise etc. all factory fit & original.

The auto dim mirror, memory seats and heated seats were the electric pack which could be specified on models lower than Elite - my CDX has it.  Leather would also have been another option specified, but separate from the electric pack.  Sunroof and Cruise were standard on the CDX.

if looked after, the engine should outlive the car, so its mileage isn't an issue, as long as body/chassis is sound....

I'd give it lots of oil changes though ;)
