I want a page on a UK web site taken down

UK site, UK writer, I have asked politely and it is still there.

No linking to it please!

Yes it is THAT page, I want it removed, what legal means do I have please?

a crowded angry visit to the site admin can solve your problem, this is how we solve problems here,practically :-[ :-/

If you can prove the page is defamatory towards you - contact first the page owner, and then the ISP (through legal channels only).

If it's just incorrect, not sure you can do much, aside of alert trading standards, LPGA, etc....

small claims court, writ the ISP and the page owner for defamantory claims  :y

He is using my name and an old car to advertise his business

I was not happy and wanted it taken down.

He has refused.

There are errors as well.

Cem I do know where he lives and works but have no intention of visiting

The site itself is hosted in Canada Martin, so if the author won't play ball then it's gonna be some work on your part.

you could setup a DOS attack but that wouldn't be legal.
Is the photo on his own webspace or linked from yours?
If it is you could change the picture to goatse or something just as bad :y

4. At the same time request from the installer that they remove your conversion from their website. Unless their Terms and Conditions clearly states that that they can use your details, photographs of your car and details of your conversion on their website for marketing purposes then they have no legal right to do so. Interesting that there are no T&C's on their website!

You therefore have a legel remedy to get them to remove the page if you need it.

Not necessary fight, only 2-3 big friends and showing some teeth mostly enough.. He will get the message..
