Milliput epoxy putty  :)

It fixes a thousand things . Can be moulded drilled , watertight and heat proof . Also an adhesive  :y
Epoxy is king  :D Always handy to keep some in ,, quite expensive for 2 small bits of putty byt very useful to have .

Gorgeous stuff. Mind, I use if for modelmaking. One of its uses is roll a very thin 'sausage' (maybe thick as the inner of a biro) then simply chop into small rectangles, they act of cutting flattens the ends. And hey presto, you've made some scale sandbags of your wartime train set, or lead soldiers, or Churchill Tank diorama etc.. it's shape-able and workable with water before it goes off, too. (works just like clay, if you apply water to make it 'slippery' and workable) or make it roughly the right shape/size, then carve it like a soft stone. Amazing stuff. Made in Britain, too.  :y

Those "metal" epoxies have a place in life.  All basically the same, just different tradenames.

I used the one Nick W linked to to fix the sump plug on the tractor which is probably the harshest environment I've used it.

Truck fitters use it in all sorts of places; sump plugs are light jobs.

Used that, seconded.. fixed a windsurf board with it once and filled those hacksaw grooves in the Jag wishbones that, ahem, someone made removing the bushes with it, too.
