Just got back from getting a 4 wheel alignment on the 3.0 MV6,they couldn't do it as the rear track rods are seized solid and also the off side rubber bush has failed.So what I really need to know is there some where other than VX where I can get some replacements as I'm still smarting from my last visit to the stealers.

Thanks Al but unfortunately I'm not in the position of messing with the cars where I am as I'm on  a slope and it's not safe to work under the car.So it's easier to get them replaced/fitted locally,also the other two cars are going in for a 4 wheel alignment and no doubt I'll have problems with those as they have been on the cars 12 years plus Will need to replace the track rod with the failed bush any way so will get a couple of sets ordered in anticipation of a bit of the usual Omega grief

Just had to replace both mine .. heat lost ... despite the adjusters glowing the use of a vice and stilsons to try and move them resulted in the bar bending first !!

New units fitted to both sides ..

Part no 90497197 Control arm - outer £83.00 each  (I actually paid £75.53 each as my dealer gives me discount for using the TC card even if stuff is not on TC)

Thats the 3.2 saloon BTW

Keep the old ones btw. If they can be freed off, then they have some retail value

The bar should remain pretty cold?

Nope ... whilst on car I used a complete bottle of gas in the blowtorch simply to undo the two locknuts .. THAT was persistence and swearing ......from there on it got worse ...eventually removed the arm completely as "on car" is fighting both LH & RH threads .. so in a vice and with lots of heat on just one part, it was glowing dull red, applied stilsons and a bit of weight ... and the bar bent ...   at which point is was phone the stealers and order a pair for next day delivery ..

I have a pair of GM rear trackrods to go on, as TBE's had to had too much heat last time. Approx £90 each side.

AGP only sell Lemforder ones IIRC, and I am getting more and more disappointed with Lemforder aftermarket parts recently.

You've dealt with the persistence and swearing, must be a lack of muscle then

My policy for seized up track rods, etc., is to remove item from car, raise to red heat, allow to cool, spray with penetrating oil, tap with hammers from opposite sides, then attempt to undo. It has always worked for me, including on rear track control rods.
