Temp Gauge 2.0 FL
« on: 27 November 2012, 12:53:00 »

Temp guage not working on a 2.0, heaters hot. engine hot (need to check yet whether it moves at all when ticking over) so guessing temp sender or lead, or something else.

Sorry dont know much about 2.0's, wheres the sender, guessing Cylinder Head somewhere, if I short the lead to 0v should I expect full scale on the gauge?

Chris.

Back end of head there's a bolt-on bit with EGR and DIS on top of it, temp senders are next to each other on the back face, awkward to reach/see.  Gauge sender has single wire connection.  Should indeed max out gauge if you short wire to engine/chassis.
