Hey Guys.
I dont want to open a can of worms, however: i accept that i cant play cdr's in a 2015 unit, and i realise why i cant, i know it has to be a gen cd, but what i would like to know is what do you all use instead?
I cant wire mp3 or ipod i believe, and I wouldnt want to replace the head unit as i like the phone, and i know that i would have to rewire half the car as its a bose system, so am using a fm modulator for now but am not a huge fan of it.
Is there a better way?

I only have a 2006 in mine, but the 'benefit' of that is the tape deck ..... I use one of those adaptor things to play music from my iphone.
Surprisingly good quality actually. Not ideal, but until I'm put in the position where I have to replace the HU (and all the BOSE then too  :( ) it'll do me  :y

I bought one of these and use it in the van, it sounds a bit tinny in the van and I`ve not tried it in the Omega yet but for the price it`s not bad.
I`ve often thought about one of the old Kenwood music kegs for the boot but I don`t know if it`s compatible with the standard head unit.

I just listen to genuine cds.

4 cds and another four for the return journey is enough to get you to the other end of the country and back

I use a combo of genuine CDs, CDRs (and accept the risk - I have stockpiled a good supply of these units for when I wreck them) and an FM modulator.

I cannot recommend using CDRs, you absolutely will shag the laser, but if you insist on using them, used top quality media (ie, genuine Verbatim), burned on a good quality desktop CD burner (ie, Pioneer), and at the slowest speed supported by both the media and drive.

Ok thanks guys, The modulator is ok, just not great and i find it it gets in the way.
In hindsight i preferred the ccrt unit with a tapedeck adaptor for mp3, used it for years and it was great. Somedays i actually prefer my prefacelift car... Yes i am serious!!
Should have kept them both!  ;)
