yes, tried 2 i got of ebay.....neither worked.  :o  Bought genuine.....after fitting light went out on first crack of key. :y  Had to do a little wiring though as it was the modified sensor, as opposed to the older square type  one fitted originally.

genuine is £60 and non is £10 hmmmmm lol

there are 2 ways to learn.. easiest (take the advice) and hardest way (by experimenting self).. you choose.. ;D

If you go for a second hand one, or a cheapy ebay one .. make sure you buy at least 2 if not 3  ..as you will be replacing them on a regular basis.

The advice to fit only new, genuine items is not from some predilection to Vx parts . but because it is a known that the others simply don't work.

Your money, your choice .. but unless you like changing them regularly, and you have a good recovery plan, there is only one way to go IMHO

Read this, basically the same except yours will have the plug leads as opposed to a coilpack

I thought that a non-genuine camshaft sensor couldn't be that bad so that's what I originally bought.  I should have listened to the advise on here as it just didn't work at all.  I had to send it back for a refund and buy a genuine one anyway.  All I got for my pig-headedness was a lot of hassle and delay.

Get a genuine one, or you will regret it.

Only cure is a genuine Vauxhall cam sensor replacement. It may cost a lot but will save you a lot in the long run.

does it play up on petrol or gas if it plays up on gas you need to spray carb cleaner into injectors-had mine play up -cuts out/rough idle popped n banged tooo  :'(  undid gas feed to injectors and loads of cleaner later-result.  :y
