Climate Control - partly fixed BUT ...
« on: 07 February 2012, 10:44:24 »

I am new to this forum but have been reading it for a while and it has helped me to resolve some of my problem.
You can tell it's getting colder lots of post on heating which I have been reading intently.
MY PROBLEM - started with cold air only on all vents and outside temp sensor showing 23 when I knew it was minus something as there was ice outside!!
I have now replaced the sensor and have a sensible reading for outside temp.
Cold air was blowing through the vents. Checked the matrix hoses and they are equally as hot. Checked the fluid levels and they are all good with no apparent leakage. The arm on the drivers side servo was off. Put that back on and my passenger has heat. They are lovely and toastie where as the drivers side is still cool. I do not mind that it just makes demisting and deicing the windscreen difficult. Rather than changing the car to left hand drive so I can see when driving I would rather fix the heat problem!
Have I missed something obvious?
Can anyone out there help??

The heat is good on the passenger side, so is it likely that side servo is OK? Will check though just to see!

As said^^^do a reset, hold in the OFF & AUTO buttons simultaneously for several seconds until you hear a sound like a nest of disturbed wasps ??? this is the sound of the servo motors resetting. Also recheck the drivers side servo operating arm as this operates the DRIVERS side heat blend flap and could have come off again? :y
